Summer is officially over. The Farm and Craft Market in downtown Watertown has packed up for the season.
So long for now to the familiar sight of vendors selling fresh produce, handmade craft items, local products from flour to wine and lunch every Wednesday, rain or shine.
Live entertainment is another feature offered by the market run by Michelle A. Farrell, director of events for the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce.
Fifty-five vendors have hawked their wares. Eighty-two spaces seemed to be occupied nearly every market day. New businesses have used the market to introduce themselves and their products to the community.
The downtown Watertown farmers market has provided a lively, fun atmosphere for families and the community. It brings people to downtown for a festive time always a good thing. Well done.
