State police at Watertown made a third arrest Friday in their investigation of break-ins at construction sites and businesses in Jefferson County.
Ryan P. Clement, 26, of 196 Stone St., Apt. 1, was released on $500 bail following arraignment on a charge of third-degree burglary before Pamelia Town Justice Richard C. Baker. He awaits possible grand jury action.
Mr. Clement is accused of stealing batteries and tools from Purcell Construction facilities at the Samaritan Summit Village work site on Summit Drive sometime from Sept. 8 to 10, according to documents filed in court.
His arrest follows arrests Wednesday of Jedadiah D. Romeo, 30, and suspended state corrections officer Aaron A. Netto in the same investigation.
Mr. Clement pleaded guilty in January in Jefferson County Court to two counts of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and was given a referral to Drug Court for treatment. He also has convictions for petit larceny in 2009 and for forgery and burglary in 2005.
