LOWVILLE — Village police on Tuesday charged Heidi L. Murphy, 35, of 9793 Main St., Croghan, with issuing a bad check.

Ms. Murphy was accused of writing a check from a closed account to a friend in the village, whom police did not identify. She is to appear in Village Court.
