City Auto Cars, a used-car dealer and repair shop that opened Monday at 1544 State St., will provide a variety of services, its owner said.

Businessman Joseph Rusin, who purchased in June the building previously owned by NTS Auto Sales, said about 40 to 50 later-model cars will be sold at the lot. A flashing digital screen will advertise weekly specials to drivers passing by.

“We want to bring a higher class of service by providing everything under one roof,” Mr. Rusin said, adding that workers spent the past three months renovating the building, which will be staffed by seven employees.

“We took what was a pretty run-down factory and completely refurbished it.”

Services at the shop include auto body, glass, brakes, tires, exhaust, engines, detailing and state inspections.

“What’s the sense of going somewhere else when you can have your oil changed, car detailed or engine swapped here?” general manager Michael Hughes said.

“We also sell accessories, stereos, tires and wash cars with wax and shampoo.”

City Auto Cars is open Monday through Saturday. Its phone number is 779-1111.
