Ordering sushi will be as easy as punching in a phone number when Sushi Express opens in Watertown this month.
Workers spent the past four months renovating the 1,500-square-foot restaurant, at 312 Arsenal St., next to the Great Wall Chinese restaurant. The eatery, which will seat 32, will be run by co-managers Zhen and Cindy Li, who also own the Daily Buffet in Watertown, along with the Grand Buffet and Panda Wok restaurants in Evans Mills.
Completed by Watertown contractor Rock Bottom Enterprises, the work included installation of walls, floor tiles, ceiling, lighting and a 30-foot counter at which sushi will be on display for sale. Workers also renovated the storefront facade with stonework.
To be staffed by five employees, the restaurant will aim to provide a relaxed family dining experience, Mr. Li said. The visibility of the location is ideal, he said, because much of the citys inbound and outbound traffic passes by the intersection.
Well get all the traffic coming downtown, he said.
The menu will feature hibachi fried rice with a variety of sushi, chicken and beef. Delivery and takeout orders will be available.
