While a man was lying unconscious late Tuesday at a Factory Street store, a woman attempted to protect him from eventual arrest by concealing his drug paraphernalia, Watertown police allege.
Crystal K. Crosbie, 35, of 6339 Old State Road, Natural Bridge, was arrested shortly before midnight on a charge of tampering with physical evidence. She was detained to await arraignment Wednesday in City Court.
Guilfoyle Ambulance and police were dispatched at 10:49 p.m. to Nice N Easy, 430 Factory St., after a man, 41, passed out. The man, not identified, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center.
During their investigation into what happened to the man, officers said, they learned that Ms. Crosbie possessed in her purse two hypodermic instruments that she hid after removing them from the mans clothing.
The syringes were confiscated for the continuing investigation.
Information about the mans condition was not available.
