Justin C. Scovil, 27, was charged Friday by Canton Village police with second-degree burglary and petit larceny in connection to a Sept. 29 incident on Law Lane.

He is accused of entering the unidentified friend’s home at 74 Law Lane and taking some jewelry, police said. Mr. Scovil was arraigned in Canton Village Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence jail in lieu of $2,500 cash.

The value of the jewelry has not been determined.
