ALEXANDRIA BAY Antonio Figueroa headed in a Tyler St. Louis cross in the 57th minute to give the Copenhagen boys soccer team a 2-1 win over Alexandria on Thursday to give the Golden Knights at least a tie for the D Division title in the Frontier League.
Figueroa also assisted on a Justin Roberts goal in 36th minute that tied the game for Copenhagen (11-1-1), which will host Alexandria (10-2-1) at 9 a.m. on Saturday in a makeup game.
Ian Kearns scored his 28th goal of the season for the Purple Ghosts.
LYME 4, SACKETS HARBOR 1
Timmy Morrow provided goals off of two flip throw-ins for the Indians as they beat the Patriots in a D Division contest at Sackets Harbor.
Troy Wilson supplied a goal and two assists for Lyme (9-5-0) and Mark Parker had a goal and an assist.
Ryan Allen scored for Sackets Harbor (5-7-2).
THOUSAND ISLANDS 0, LOWVILLE 0
Neither team could score during two halves and two overtimes as the top two teams in the C Division battled to a scoreless tie in Lowville.
Cameron Robbins made eight saves in goal for the Vikings (9-3-1, 8-3-1). Lowville (10-2-2, 10-1-2) received 10 saves from goalie Collin Farquhar.
BEAVER RIVER 1, SOUTH LEWIS 0
Hunter Nortz finished off a pass from Cody Updike in the 78th minute as the Beavers blanked the Falcons in a C Division game in Beaver Falls.
Goalie Zach Steiner only needed to make two saves to record the shutout for Beaver River (3-8-2).
Shawn Loomis finished with 24 saves for South Lewis (2-12).
WATERTOWN 5, GENERAL BROWN 0
Matt Olney scored a pair of goals as the A Division champion Cyclones blanked the Lions (4-9-1) in a home crossover game.
Tyrell Thomas contributed two assists for Watertown (12-1-1, 11-0-1).
IHC 3, CARTHAGE 0
JP McClusky scored a pair of goals as the Cavaliers shut out the Comets in the final regular-season A Division game for both teams.
Chris Rowland distributed three assists for IHC (9-5, 7-5). Goalie Jarrod Smith made five saves to post the shutout.
Sebastian Fountain finished with seven stops for Carthage (7-7, 6-6).
SOUTH JEFFERSON 1, SANDY CREEK 0
Jordan Schloop knocked home a Kraig Steele cross in the 31st minute to give the Spartans a B Division win over the Comets in Adams.
William Beese and Peter Lumley combined for the shutout for South Jefferson (6-5-2).
Corey Reff was credited with 22 saves for Sandy Creek (0-13-0).
GIRLS SOCCER
IHC 2, CARTHAGE 0
Goalie Skylar Short made six saves to record the shutout as the host Cavaliers blanked the Comets in the A Division regular-season finale for both teams.
Vera Freda scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 37th minute, and Rebecca Lazore added an unassisted goal in the second half for IHC (8-6, 7-5).
Haley Ryan finished with 11 saves for Carthage (7-5-2, 6-4-2).
GIRLS SWIMMING
SOUTH JEFFERSON 99, INDIAN RIVER 70
Hannah Markey placed first in the 50-and 100-yard freestyles and swam the anchor leg on the 200 freestyle relay as the Spartans beat the Warriors in an A Division meet at Adams.
Jensen Beale, Kim Widrick and Megan Scully also won two events apiece for South Jefferson (7-2).
Rachael Rodriquez won the 100 butterfly, the 100 backstroke and swam the final leg of the 400 freestyle relay for Indian River (1-8).
