CARTHAGE — The parishes of St. James, Carthage, and St. Mary’s, Copenhagen, will host a mission in recognition of the Catholic Church’s Year of Faith.

The open-door mission retreat will be directed by the Rev. Francis Pompei at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at St. James, 327 West St.

Father Pompei also will celebrate the Mass today at 4 p.m. at St. James, and Sunday at 8 a.m. at St. Mary’s, Route 12, Copenhagen, and at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at St. James.

The Sunday evening Mass will be oriented to youth in grades seven through 12. Afterward, a meal and presentation will be held in the parish community room.
