Parishville-Hopkinton offense busts out in second half to secure victory

PARISHVILLE — The Parishville-Hopkinton girls soccer team scored three goals in the second half to gain a 4-2 victory over St. Lawrence Central in a nonleague game Friday afternoon.

Kodi Perkins scored the game-winning goal for the Panthers (8-2-1 overall) in the 61st minute and added another goal in the 74th. Macaela Cole and Emily Sloan also scored for the Panthers.

Lindsay Thayer scored both goals for the Larries (1-7-1).

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 2,

COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Ashley Debeer made eight saves to shut out the Colts (2-7-1) as the Panthers won a nonleague game in South Colton.

Rachel Tower and Kenzi Traynor scored for the Panthers (6-4).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 7,

ST. REGIS FALLS 0

Emily LaRoe scored three goals and assisted on two others as the Flyers knocked off the Saints (0-10) in a nonleague game in Norwood.

Alexis Sweet scored two goals for Norwood-Norfolk (4-5-1), and Aleah Palmer and Megan Stevenson also scored.

BOYS SOCCER

MADRID-WADDINGTON 2, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 0

Zach Brock made eight saves for Madrid-Waddington to shut out Norwood-Norfolk (1-10, 1-9) in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division game in Norwood.

Randy Ball scored both goals for the Yellow Jackets (5-4-2, 5-2-1).

CHATEAUGAY 1,

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 0

Matt Swanston scored in the 52nd minute to give Chateaugay an East Division win over Brushton-Moira (6-4-1, 5-3-1) in Brushton. Devon Barnes made three saves for the Bulldogs (6-3-3, 6-3-1).

SALMON RIVER 4, ST. REGIS FALLS 3

Antoine Domino scored two goals to lift the Shamrocks past the Saints (2-8) in a nonleague game in St. Regis Falls.

Brady Mitchell delivered one goal and two assists and Elden King also scored for Salmon River (2-7-2).

Caleb Green led the Saints with two goals while Brandon Votra supplied the other goal.

VOLLEYBALL

CHATEAUGAY 3, TUPPER LAKE 0

Kylie Hanley scored 20 service points to lead Chateaugay to a 25-3, 25-10, 25-13 sweep of visiting Tupper Lake (2-8).

Carolyn Stumpf added 18 points and Caitlin Miller produced 12 assists for the Bulldogs (11-0).

SALMON RIVER 3,

Nicole Smoke scored 18 points to lift Salmon River to a 25-17, 25-15, 25-16 sweep of Parishville-Hopkinton (1-11) in Brushton. Cassie Boardway and Kaitlyn Pickering both scored 10 points for Salmon River (10-2).
