Leona M Nugent, formerly of Waddington, NY, passed away after a brief illness on April 22, 2012 in Las Cruces, NM where she lived following her retirement from the New York Telephone Company. She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Hilarion “Bud” Nugent, her sisters Audrey Trainham and Bette Daddario and brother John. She is survived by her brother, Col. Francis Owen Nugent, Ret., sister-in-law Joan Nugent, her sister Donna Ashley and brother-in-law Joseph Ashley, brother-in-law Isi Daddario and many nieces and nephews. Service of Committal will be held Sunday October 14th, 2012 at the New St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waddington, NY at 1:00 pm. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington.
