Raymond A. “Ramie” Paris, 53, 19700 Co. Rt. 65, Watertown, formerly of St. Petersburg, Fl., passed away Friday, October 12, 2012under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Ramie was born May 6, 1959 in Watertown a son of Gerald “Jughead” and Sonya Perry Paris. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1977, then from North Community College with an associate’s degree in Medical Technology. Ramie was a building contractor until moving to Florida where he was a swimming pool contractor for several years. Ramie moved back to Watertown after his illness began.

Surviving are his mother Sonya Gale, Watertown, a daughter Jade Paris, Texas, a sister Toni Paris and her companion Jack McIlroy, Evans Mills, and aunt and uncle Raeann and John Chatterton, Watertown, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His father died before him.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be Tuesday at 9:15 am at the funeral home with a 10 am funeral mass at St. Patrick’s Church with Reverend Donald Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham Street Road, Watertown, NY 13601.
