A housing improvement project in Lewis County was the recipient of a grant from the USDA Rural Developments Housing Preservation Grant program, one of several announced nationwide Friday.
Snow Belt Housing Co. Inc. will receive $45,184 to rehabilitate nine low-income homes. Repairs will include improving water systems, removing lead-based paint, installing energy-saving features and repairing the homes foundations, roofs, heating systems and wiring.
