Glen A. Gould, 69, of County Route 100, Wellesley Island, NY, died Saturday, October 20th at his home.

Glen was born on June 3, 1943, in Bainbridge, NY, the son of Adon and Helen Ferry Gould. He graduated from Unadilla Central School and attended Morrisville Technical College in Morrisville, NY.

He married Maxine Morse on June 21, 1981 on Wellesley Island.

Glen was a service technician at Whitaker Trucking in Unadilla, NY, worked security service for Pratt& Whitney in Middletown, CT, and then became the Central New York Sales Manager for Equitable Life Assurance out of Middletown, CT and Albany, NY. After moving to Wellesley Island, Glen was the owner/broker of Realty 1000 and most recently was the owner of Glen A. Gould Estate Construction.

Glen was the former Chairman of the Town of Alexandria Zoning Board of Appeals, an instructor for the Jefferson County Pistol Permit Applicants, a member of the Christian life Fellowship Church in Chaumont, and a graduate of the Citizen’s Academy of U.S. Border Patrol. He was active in the Pine Tree Point Gun Club and enjoyed dirt track racing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine, a step-daughter, Colleen Kearney, Wellesley Island; a step son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Michelle Kearney, Fairfield, CA; a brother and sister-in-law Dale and Marlane Gould, Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters and their husbands, Barbara and Willie Munn, Fayetteville, NC, and Jane and Larry Aikins, Redwood, NY; 12 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 12:30-3 pm on Saturday, October 27th at the River Community Church in Clayton followed by memorial service at 3 pm with Rev. George Hopper officiating. A reception will be held at the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the NRA, Aikins Racing, or Wellesley Island Fire Dept.
