Luke Cosita scored in the 50th minute as the the sixth-seeded Bearcats edged the No. 3 Cyclones in a Class A quarterfinal at Watertown High School.

Joe Friedel notched the tying goal in the 29th minute for Whitesboro (11-5-1).

Brad McKinney opened the scoring with a goal in the second minute for Watertown (14-2-1). Goalie Noah Taylor finished with four saves for the Cyclones.

Girls soccer

LOWVILLE — Olivia Miles scored all three goals, including the game-winner on a direct kick two minutes into overtime, to lift No. 5 Immaculate Heart Central to a Section 3 Class C-1 quarterfinal girls soccer victory over No. 4 Lowville, 3-2, on Wednesday night.

IHC will play the winner of today’s matchup between top-seeded Sauquoit Valley and No. 8 South Lewis.

Miles launched the ball into the upper left corner of the goal from about 20 yards out to score the game-winner.

Samantha Alteri and Jaid Baytos provided assists, and goalie Skylar Short turned away seven shots for Immaculate Heart Central (10-7).

For the Red Raiders, Isabelle Hanno scored two minutes into the game, and Emma St. Croix added a second-half goal. Alexa Yousey finished with 12 saves for Lowville (10-6-1).

MALONE 1, CANTON 0

A 14-save effort from Jayme LaVoie helped the Huskies edge the Golden Bears (6-5-1, 5-3-1) in a Central Division game in Canton.

Morgan Fountain scored for Malone (5-7-1, 4-4-1) in the 28th minute.

LISBON 2, HERMON-DEKALB 0

Jackie Sovie made 10 saves for the Golden Knights in a West Division win over the Demons (8-6, 6-6) in Lisbon.

Beth Crowley scored the first goal for Lisbon (10-3-2, 9-3), and Emily Dishaw scored in the second half.

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 5,

ST. REGIS FALLS 1

Kodie Perkins led the Panthers (9-2-1, 4-1) with two goals in an East Division victory against the Saints in Parishville.

Victoria Collins, Michaela Cole and Monica Votra also scored for the Panthers. Kaitlyn White scored for St. Regis Falls (0-14, 0-6).

BOYS SOCCER

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 1, COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Taylor Tallman finished with 13 saves to lead Brushton-Moira to a win over Colton-Pierrepont (9-5 overall, 8-4 division) in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division game in Brushton.

Loren Traylor scored for the Panthers (9-4-1, 8-3-1) in the 47th minute off a pass from Adam Martin.

MORRISTOWN 3, CLIFTON-FINE 0

Zach Kanaly tallied two goals to help Morristown defeat Clifton-Fine (1-12) in a West Division game at Star Lake.

Dakota Marshall also scored for Morristown (5-6-1) and Luke King made five saves for the shutout.

VOLLEYBALL

CHATEAUGAY 3, MASSENA 0

Shelby Yanulavich scored 17 points and added five kills as the Bulldogs produced a 25-13, 25-11, 25-21 sweep of Massena (12-3) in Chateaugay.

Caitlin Miller had 11 kills and 11 assists for Chateaugay (15-0), and Kylie Hanley added 10 assists.

SALMON RIVER 3, MALONE 0

Cassie Boardway scored 11 points as the Shamrocks earned a 25-21, 25-9, 25-21 sweep of the Huskies (11-5) in Fort Covington.

Kasennakohe David scored 10 points and Nicole Smoke added nine for the Shamrocks (12-4).
