Republican Matt Doheny is helping bring together two sides of the political aisle — in Taiwan.
Taiwanese lawmakers "across party lines" in the island nation have urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to demand an apology from Mr. Doheny, who ran an ad about Taiwan that featured a Chinese flag, according to the Taipei Times.
The ad assailed Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, for taking a lobbyist-arranged trip there in 2011.
Mr. Doheny's campaign changed the ad after WPTZ's report about the discrepancy.
