Sally Sugrue, 66, of Rodman, NY, born June 12th 1946 in Watertown NY, died Oct 26th 2012. Sally was the daughter of F. Douglas and Alexandria Peggy Lee of Rodman.
She married Robert Hervieux in 1965, and had two daughters Becky and Laura. Her first marriage ended in divorce. She later married Walter Sugrue. She was a nature lover and an avid hunter.
In the 1970s she owned and ran Hidden Valley Stables in Rodman, a horse boarding and riding stable business. She worked for Blue Seal Feeds for a number of years, and later for UPS. Sally started the Wildflower Gallery Frame Shop in her home on Black River Road which is now located on Washington St., Watertown. She served as president of the Watertown Golf Club Ladies League.
Sally is survived by her man Dennis Brown of Rodman, two daughters, Laura Bowers and Becky Hervieux, both of Sarasota, Florida and one grandson Julian Alexander Hervieux. She is also survived by two sisters Ethel Mae Ingalls of Covington KY, and Martha Wallace of Lemoille, Nevada; two brothers, Phillip Lee of Castorland NY and Paul A. Lee of Watertown; seven nieces and nephews, one grand-niece and one grand-nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday November 2, 2012 11:00am at the Carpenter Stoodley Funeral Home in Belleville, Rev. M. Russell Lee officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday November 1, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the funeral home.
