FORT DRUM — Members of the 10th Mountain Division Combat Aviation Brigade left Wednesday morning for Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., to better position themselves for possible hurricane relief support.

Eight Black Hawk helicopters with trained and equipped crews made the trip.

“Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division trains to be ready for the unexpected whether it’s downrange or in our own backyard,” said, Col. Walter E. Piatt, 10th Mountain Division deputy commanding general.
