A teenager residing at the Children’s Home of Jefferson County, 1704 State St., was charged Thursday night by city police with falsely reporting an incident and is summoned to appear in City Court.

Police said John E. LaPlant Jr., 16, is accused of pulling a fire alarm at 7:42 p.m. in one of the facility’s buildings.
