U.S. Rep. William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, and Republican Matthew A. Doheny will make local stops today to rally support for their face-off Tuesday.

Mr. Owens will visit with volunteers at 75 Market St., Potsdam, from 12:45 to 1 p.m. Then, he will attend a house party in Canton, and then attend a volunteer kickoff at 3:30 p.m. at his office in the Marcy Building in Watertown. He will attend the Jefferson County Democratic Committee dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Italian-American Civic Association, Bellew Avenue.

Mr. Doheny will begin his swing in the region at the Wicked Ways Saloon, 9813 Route 812, Croghan, from 6 to 7 p.m. From 7:15 to 9 p.m., his campaign will have a rally at the Dancing Dog, 45 Church St., Alexandria Bay.
