To borrow a popular phrase, it takes a village to grow a good library. And thanks to the citizens of Henderson and Henderson Harbor, our Henderson Free Library is thriving.
The Board of Trustees of the library wants to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported our various fundraising activities through the spring, summer and fall. If you bought a used book, a box of note cards or a raffle ticket, if you purchased one of our unique logo products T-shirts, sweatshirts and totes if you dropped your spare change in the conscience jar on the circulation desk, if you attended Art in the Park or our 90th Anniversary Wine and Cheese get-together, if you responded to our treasure-chest themed direct mail drive, if you donated items for sale or raffle, or if you contributed to the library in any other way, we are sincerely grateful for your support.
While it is true that we receive tax dollars from the town of Henderson and the Belleville Henderson School District and a grant from the Union Academy Board, this money only keeps us operating at a subsistence level. The library depends on fundraising activities for the extras that make our library such a special and unique place. We cant do it without you, and we hope that you will continue your generous support of the library in our future endeavors.
Thank you again from the Henderson Free Library Board of Trustees.
