Doheny focused

Anyone I've ever talked to who knows Matt Doheny says that when he wants something, he focuses in on it like a laser (a Dohenyism for you).
That was on display this morning as Mr. Doheny voted at a fire house on Massey Street.
I asked him about his emotions in this moment, whether he wanted to reflect after a year and a half of campaigning against Democratic Rep. Bill Owens, some of which was not pretty and must have been hard to countenance.
He wasn't having any of it. He has eight more hours of campaigning, he told me. He said he might be prepared for some introspection after 9 p.m.
He said he's taking one last lap around the district, which could make a difference in a close race.
Mr. Owens is going to vote in Plattsburgh sometime after 9 a.m.
