Carol Evangeline Sheley Butlerpassed away October 3, 2012, Age 104.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, Nov 10, 2012 at the Adams Baptist Church, 24 E. Church St., Adams; with a reception following, in the church hall.

Carol was born Aug 7, 2008 in Cape Vincent, and graduated from Watertown High School in 1925. Following marriage to William (Bill) Butler in 1931. They lived in Watertown and later at 202 Rice St. in Brownville for many years before moving to Rochester in 1985. Husband Bill died in 1995 after retiring from 50 years working at the NY Central Railroad and later the Watertown Daily Times.

Carol moved to St. Ann’s Heritage (Rochester) in 2006, and in 2012 to the new St. Ann’s Care Center at Cherry Ridge in Webster.

Family at the service will include brother Clarence Sheley and his daughter Bonnie Kellogg, both of Adams; Carol’s five children and their spouses; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Children include: daughter Nancy (Dick Hills), Plattsburgh; and son Bruce (partner Paul), Rochester; son Richard (Linda), Rochester; son David (Jan), Fairport and Venice Florida; and son Peter (Marleen), Tunkhannock, Pa.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Adams Baptist Church, 24 E. Church St., Adams, N.Y. 13605.

Following the University of Rochester Anatomical Research Project, Carol will be interred at the Rodman Fairview Cemetery in 2013.
