MASSENA — Amber M. Gardner, 20, of 234 Andrews St., was charged by state police at 6:35 p.m. Monday with criminal contempt and harassment.

Police said she pushed her boyfriend, Robert LaValley Jr., and scratched his face during a fight. Mr. LaValley holds an order of protection against Ms. Gardner, police said.

Ms. Gardner was sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $1,000 bail.
