Madeline D. Chirico, 95, of 222 S. Meadow St., Watertown, passed November 7, 2012 at Mercy of Northern NY, where she had been a resident.

A funeral mass will be said 10 a.m. Mon., Nov. 12th at St. Anthony’s Church. A prayer service will be 9:30 a.m. Mon. at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sun., Nov 11th at the funeral home.

She was born on August 10, 1917 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Anthony and Margaret Catania DeFranco.She married Joseph P. Chirico and the couple resided in Watertown.

Mrs. Chirico was a salesclerk for Nugent’s Clothing Store and Barbara Moss for several years. She was a communicate of St. Anthony’s and St. Patrick’s Catholic Churches.

Mr. Chirico worked for NY AirBrake for over 40 years. He passed in 1985.

Among her survivors are a son, Joseph A. Chirico, Black River; a daughter in law, Nancy J. Chirico, Depauville; two grandsons, Brandon J and Dillon J. Chirico , Black River; a granddaughter, Hayley J. Chirico, Depauville; a great grandson, Jordan Downs, Watertown; a brother and sister in law, Samuel and Harriet DeFranco, FL; four sisters, Antoinette Navarra, Sarah Leone, Josephine Leone, Carmline D’Amico, Liverpool, NY; several nieces and nephews.

A grandson, Cody Chirico; three sisters, Jennie Leone, Catherine Tarzia, Rosie DeFranco; two brothers, Manual DeFranco and Michael DeFranco all died before her.
