The Dayton Demonz rallied to edge the Thousand Islands Privateers, 2-1, in a shootout in a Federal Hockey League game at Watertown Municipal Arena.
Goalie Jeff Rose stopped 33 of 34 shots to earn the win for Dayton (5-2), which outscored the Privateers, 3-2 in the shootout to win for the second time in as many nights in Watertown.
Marcus Pryde, Jason Hill and Jesse Felten each scored in the shootout for the Demonz, while Brent Tamane and Peter Campbell each tallied in the shootout for Thousand Islands.
Matt Anthony made 46 saves for the Privateers (4-4), which salvaged a point despite the loss.
Carter Trevisani opened the scoring for Thousand Islands early in the game before Dayton tied it on Brayden Metzs goal early in the second.
The Privateers hit the road and will play at Cape Cod at 7:35 tonight.
