WEST CARTHAGE The village Planning Board affirmed that a 72-acre parcel along Broad Street could be divided.
Kent Burto, representing Michael E. Lundy, CEO of Lundy Development, came before the board to get its reassurance on planned subdivisions. After review, the board agreed that the parcel fit the requirements to be divided but would not approve the actual division until proper site plans are presented.
It meets code its big enough, Planning Board Chairman Ronald J. Blinebry said. I dont know any reason why it could not be subdivided.
It has been proposed by Mr. Lundy that the parcel, known as the Johnson property, be developed into commercial property on 18.86 roadside acres, have multihousing units built on the middle 38-acre section and the back 15.7 acres be used for future development. Previously, the board approved rezoning the area from arterial service districts to planned development districts.
