COLTON — There will be no calling hours or funeral services for 70-year old Mrs. Dixie Lee Shampine of Colton. Mrs. Shampine died at her home on Friday, November 9, 2012. Burial will be in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Colton, NY.

Survivors include her husband Larry Shampine of Colton, two sons Steven L. Buell and James D. Sanders, a daughter Wendy L. Cox, a step-son Clayton Shampine, and grandchildren Bastian Buell, Corey Wright, Jordan Sanders, Shyla Cox, Gabriel Sanders, David Sanders, Elijah Sanders, Marissa Shampine, Abigale Shampine, Brittany Leger, Brett Broussard, Brandon Thibodeaux and Brandy Thibodeaux.

Dixie was born in Louisville, KY on July 5, 1942 the daughter of Edgar C. and Alvina Elizabeth (Landsrath) Martin. She married Larry Shampine October 24, 1992. Dixie was employed in the Housekeeping Dept. at SUNY Canton College prior to her retirement.

Arrangements are with the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.
