The following people have been charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Aimee L. Cooley, 41, of 15739 County Route 3, Clayton, was arrested by state police Sunday afternoon on a charge of felony aggravated DWI on Interstate 81 in the town of Sandy Creek.

Police cited her under Leandra’s Law because she had an 11-year-old boy riding with her, they said. She also is charged with speeding at 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. She was northbound when a trooper stopped her at about 1 p.m., police said. No blood alcohol content was provided by police.

Under state law, a blood alcohol content reading of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication. The state threshold for aggravated DWI is 0.18 percent. Driving while intoxicated with a child passenger automatically is a felony under Leandra’s Law.

■ Joshua S. Newton, 30, of 127 S. Pearl Ave., also was charged by Watertown police with passing in a no-passing zone as a result of his arrest at 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Washington Street. Police said he refused to take a breath test.

■ Gary R. O’Shea, 28, of 128 Lincoln Road, town of Canton, also was charged Saturday by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies with driving an uninspected motor vehicle during a traffic stop on Lincoln Road in Canton. The Canton Police Department had been investigating Mr. Shea for allegedly harassing his ex-wife, who has an order of protection against him, according to deputies. His blood alcohol content was not available.

Mr. O’Shea was turned over to village police, who later charged him with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree stalking.
