Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Friday, November 16, from 6 - 8PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, November 17, at 10AM with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Harding was born in Watertown on November 9, 1931, daughter of John and Catherine Cuzzupoli Marra. She graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy and Mercy School of Nursing.
On May 25, 1952 she married John F. Harding at St. Anthonys Church with Rev. George Tobin officiating.
She had worked as a nurse at Madonna Home and then worked for Joe Dees Gift Shop in the Globe Mall, both in Watertown. Mary Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed a variety of crafts, making them and teaching others. She was active with Catholic Youth Organization, was a Leader for both the Girl and Cub Scouts, volunteered with Little League, and was a member of the Home Bureau. Everyone who knew Mary, knew that she loved making Italian cookies and giving them away at Christmas time. She was also an avid collector of several things, but her biggest treasure was her music boxes. All were given to her as gifts from others. She had hundreds.
Besides her husband, John, of Watertown, she is survived by her son, Carl F. Harding, Watertown, her daughter, Cathy A. Coty, Whitesboro, her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and her brother and his wife, Philip and Yuvon Marra, Watertown.
Donations in her name may be made to the Dementia Unit of Lewis County General Hospital, 7785 N. State St., Lowville, NY 13367. Condolences to the family may be made at http://www.cummingsfuneral.com/.
