Derrick Williams put up a game-high 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Jefferson Community College to a 69-58 Region 3 college mens basketball victory over Fulton-Montgomery CC on Tuesday at JCC.
Ryan Tomlin pitched in with 12 points, nine rebounds and two steals, and Damien Jackson added 10 points for Jefferson (3-2 overall, 2-1 region).
Andy Irizarry and Darius Ward each scored 11 points for Fulton-Montgomery (3-2).
■ Freshman guard Samuel Durodola was named the JCC athlete of the week.
A 2012 graduate of Campus Magnet High School in Queens, Durodola averaged 20 points and seven rebounds in games against Clinton CC and Herkimer County CC.
■ Takima Lucky scored 13 points and Grace Rutagengwa contributed 12 points as Fulton-Montgomery CC (5-0) cruised to a 77-37 Region 3 victory over host Jefferson CC.
Jasmine Canady scored a game-high 22 points for the Cannoneers (1-3) and Tapulei Vaveao finished with 10 points.
