Mayor Jeffrey E. Graham will present a commemorative adornment of the first puck dropped at the opening game here of the 1000 Islands Privateers when the Federal Hockey League team plays tonight.
The puck has been encased in a wooden decorative piece that the mayor had made for the occasion.
Mr. Graham will make the presentation to the Parks and Recreation Department about 7:15 p.m., just before the start of the game against the Danville Dashers. The game starts at 7:25 p.m.
The Privateers began playing at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds this season after moving from Bonnie Castle Recreation Center, Alexandria Bay.
