CANTON Rachel A. Campbell, 22, of 72 Law Lane, was charged by village police with following too closely and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle following a three-car accident Wednesday.
The accident occurred at 9:44 a.m. on Riverside Drive, police said. Elizabeth Taylor, 47, stopped at a red light, followed by Amanda Perry, 21. Ms. Campbell was unable to stop and crashed into Ms. Perrys car, sending it forward into Ms. Taylors car, according to police.
Ms. Taylor was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, with a back injury.
Investigators found that Ms. Campbell was driving with a suspended license.
