LOWVILLE As expected, absentee and affidavit votes did not change the results of the Lewis County judge race.
Republican Daniel R. King has defeated Democrat Kevin M. McArdle by a 329-vote margin, 5,359 to 5,030, according to unofficial results provided by the Lewis County Board of Elections.
Mr. King held a 246-vote lead 4,905 to 4,659 after machine-cast votes were counted in the Nov. 6 general election and actually padded that lead when absentee and affidavit ballots were counted Thursday.
The victor has earned a 10-year seat as county judge, which also oversees Family and Surrogate courts.
