PARISHVILLE - Gordon F. Earle, 58, of 987 Route 72, was charged with animal cruelty by state police at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Earle allegedly shot a dog while hunting. The dog’s owner’s mother saw the wounded dog coming out of the woods near Pumpkin Hill Road, and took it to an animal clinic where it had to be euthanized.

Mr. Earle is scheduled to appear in Parishville Town Court.
