Mr. and Mrs. John R. Keenan, 141 Ten Eyck St., observed their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 8.
Mr. Keenan, son of the late William P. and Lillian McKenzie Keenan, and Anne Elizabeth Riley, daughter of the late Lloyd A. and Anna OBrien Riley, were married Nov. 8, 1952, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Joseph A. Francoer officiating. Honor attendants were the late Isabelle Riley, Katherine June Riley and John E. McNulty.
Mr. Keenan graduated in 1940 from Watertown High School and in 1953 from Clarkson College of Technology, Potsdam, with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 in the South Pacific. Mr. Keenan retired as senior project engineer at New York Air Brake Co..
Mrs. Keenan graduated in 1942 from Watertown High School and later from Watertown School of Commerce. She retired from the state Department of Labor.
The couple has four sons, John MacKenzie, Peter Joseph, Michael Sean and Patrick William, all of Watertown; two daughters, Karen Patricia Keenan, Rochester, and Bridget Erin Bartholomew, Hagerstown, Md.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
