CARTHAGE — Boy Scout Troop 54 will be conducting a food drive beginning at 9 a.m. Dec. 8 in the villages of Carthage and West Carthage. The collection effort will benefit the Good Samaritan Society of St. James Church. Those wishing to donate may place nonperishable food items in a bag near their front door where Scouts can easily see it.

The Scouts will also be collecting refundable bottles and cans during this drive to benefit their troop. Refundable donations may be left with the food donations.
