City police on Wednesday charged Jeremy L. Flowers, 24, of 642 Bronson St., Upper Apartment, with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Arrested at 11 p.m., Mr. Flowers was charged following a traffic stop the previous day in the 100 block of West Lynde Street. According to police, Mr. Flowers possessed an unloaded .22 caliber rifle during the stop. He was not allowed to possess any firearms after being convicted of attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in April.
Mr. Flowers, charged at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, was released on $500 bail.
