A city resident is now stable at Samaritan Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle in October.

City police said Barbara C. Gilbo, 80, of 289 Howk St., was hit on the 500 block of Coffeen Street at 2:58 p.m. Oct. 26 by a 1998 Ford truck driven by Jordan C. Freeman, 22, of Brownville, who did not see her as he reversed from a driveway. Ms. Gilbo, who suffered a head injury in the crash, was taken to the hospital by Guilfoyle Ambulance.

Mr. Freeman was charged with driving without insurance. A family member of Ms. Gilbo reported her condition to the Times from the hospital’s alternative care unit Friday.
