City police charged Jeffrey S. St. Onge, 25, of 130 Highland Ave., with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a minor after he allegedly had sex with a 13-year-old girl.

According to police, St. Onge on Nov. 14 picked up the girl from her school, which was not listed, during school hours and took her to his home, where he allegedly had sexual intercourse with her.

He was charged after he turned himself in to police at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building at 8:53 a.m. Sunday.

Police held him pending arraignment in City Court.
