Memorial services for 69 year old Mr. Orrin L. Caswell of Potsdam will be held Wednesday, November 21st at 3:00 PM at the Beach Plains Free Association Church in the Town of Pierrepont. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam. Mr. Caswell died at his home on November 16, 2012. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Potsdam Vol. Rescue Squad, P O Box 700, Potsdam, NY 13676.

Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Caswell of Potsdam, a daughter and Son in law Cathy and Timothy Connolly of Potsdam, a granddaughter Allana Connolly also of Potsdam, 4 brothers Alson Caswell of Heuvelton, Karl Caswell and George Caswell both of Canton, Keith Caswell of Madrid, 7 sisters Alma Miller of Carthage, Helen Downey of Hermon, Dorothy Morrison of Canton, Arlene Perrigo of Richville, Iona Brewer of Canton, Arvilla Aldous of Canton and Leda Perkins living in Florida.

Orrin was pre-deceased by his son Michael Lyle Caswell who died November 11, 2001, and a sister Alberta Burke.

Orrin was born in Potsdam, NY on January 1, 1943, the son of Andrew and Flora (Taylor) Caswell. He was employed in the maintenance department of Potsdam Central school for 31 years prior to his retirement.

Orrin enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with family and friends.
