Watertown police on Thursday night arrested a man after he allegedly kicked a large plastic toy, propelling it at a 9-year-old boy’s stomach.

Nathaniel J. Gonzalez, 32, of 1429 Gill St., Apt. 437-C, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was held overnight to await arraignment Friday in City Court.

Police said the boy complained of pain following the incident, alleged to have occurred at about 10 p.m. Patrols were called to the man’s apartment at 10:41 p.m. on a domestic fight complaint, and were informed about the child’s discomfort.
