DEXTER — Mr. and Mrs. Arthur G. Montondo, 12021 Road 472, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip through New England, New Brunswick and Quebec, Canada, in September and October.

Mr. Montondo, son of the late George H. and Lillian L. Furguson Montondo, and Carolyn E. Bezy, daughter of the late Clement J. and Caroline M. Ball Bezy, were married Nov. 20, 1987, at the home of the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David J. Bezy, Brownville, with Justice Richard Parker officiating. Their marriage was later blessed at All Saints Church, Chaumont.

Honor attendants were John A. Montondo, son of the groom, and Catherine Eggleston Jock, daughter of the bride, both of Watertown.

Mr. Montondo graduated in 1962 from Watertown High School. He served four years in the Navy and retired from Army Reserve. Mr. Montondo retired from the Watertown Post Office in 1999 after 31 years service. He also worked for three years in the photo department at Eckerd’s, Watertown. He enjoys his family, sudoku puzzles and card games on the computer.

Mrs. Montondo graduated in 1958 from Immaculate Heart Academy and in 1961 from Mercy School of Nursing, both of Watertown. She worked at hospitals in Watertown and Albany, retiring from the House of the Good Samaritan, now Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, in 1998. Mrs. Montondo enjoys trips, crocheting and needlework.

Together, the couple has four sons, Philip E. Eggleston, Copenhagen, John A. Montondo, Watertown, Michael J. Eggleston, Hanawa Falls, and Henry Montondo, Henderson; three daughters, Ellen Majka, Belchertown, Mass., Catherine Jock, Watertown, and Catherine A.
