A Morrison Street paving company has asked the Watertown City Council to grant it a special-use permit to park commercial vehicles in its driveway, even though the city Planning Board denied the request in October.
On Monday night, council members are expected to consider James Desormeaus request to park the vehicles at T.J. Paving, a business he operates in his home at 739 Morrison St.
On Nov. 6, the Planning Board denied the request after a handful of neighbors complained he would cause an odor when cleaning the vehicles with kerosene.
Neighbor Kevin Resch told the Jefferson County Planning Board on Tuesday that he and other neighbors plan to attend Monday nights council meeting to express the concerns. The county Planning Board reviewed the request because the property is within 500 feet of Bradley Street, a state highway, but took no action.
