RENSSELAER FALLS — The County Route 14 bridge over the Oswegatchie River in the village will not be open to traffic until Christmas, county Highway Superintendent Toby W. Bogart said Thursday.

The county hoped to have the bridge open to traffic by the end of November. Contractors requested an extension after they discovered addtional bracing was needed for a sewer main that runs underneath the bridge.
