With the arrival of the holiday season comes the Salvation Armys Red Kettle Campaign and the sounds of jingle bells, but in Massena, particularly at Walmart, it also brought the sounds of one man singing Christmas songs and dancing to help raise money for the Salvation Army.
This year, however Carl Zender was not allowed to sing and dance in front of Walmart and a group of his friends, family and supporters are planning a protest in front of Walmart at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The event being billed as Caroling For Carl will consist of people meeting in the Home Depot parking lot at 5:50 p.m. The group will then head over to Walmart at 6 p.m. to sing and dance for Carl.
Anyone who has ever enjoyed Mr. Zenders holiday cheer is invited to attend.
