CANTON — SUNY Canton and SUNY Potsdam have hired Glen R. Bogardus as an interlibrary loan specialist.

“We are very much looking forward to capitalizing on Glen’s considerable experience managing the ILL process, with an eye toward advancing our own unique library-services mission,” said Michelle Currier, director of library services.

Mr. Bogardus, a Gouverneur native, will have offices in Canton and Potsdam, and both campuses will contribute an equal portion of his pay. He will coordinate the borrowing and lending of books between libraries.

“Each library can only purchase so many books, we only have so much of a budget,” said Mr. Bogardus. “On occasion, you need to borrow books from other libraries.”

Mr. Bogardus will coordinate the campuses’ collections to eliminate redundancy.
