NORFOLK A Norfolk man was charged by state police Thursday with having a number of guns and other items from a burglary reported in August.
Jason P. Morgan, 29, of 165 Mill Road, was accused of having at least seven firearms and a number of other goods reported stolen from a residence on County Route 39 in the town of Norfolk.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with destroying a weapon and two counts of second-degree burglary.
Troopers said Mr. Morgan defaced the serial number on one of the firearms.
He was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and ordered held in the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facilty. He is currently serving a jail sentemce for a domestic violence related incident in the town of Louisville.
