Casandra L. Devine, 21, of 736 W. Main St., Apt. 3, was charged by Watertown police Thursday with two counts of petit larceny.

Police said that on Oct. 22, she issued a check for $234.74 to Arsenal Street Wine & Liquor, 940 Arsenal St., that was drawn on a checking account she knew was closed. It is further alleged that she returned a half-hour later and wrote a second check, for $172.93, on the same account.

She is due to answer the charges in City Court.
