Watertown- The funeral for Louise E. Ball will be Tuesday, December 4, 2012, 11am at the First United Methodist Church, Watertown, with Rev. Joyce Woodcock officiating. Burial will follow the service in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium. Calling hours will be Monday, December 3, 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ball, 75, of Cooper Street, Watertown, went to her loving father at 5:55am Thursday morning at the University Hospital, Syracuse, following a brief illness.
She was born in the Town of Pamelia on December 2, 1936, a daughter to Walter J. and Ruth M. Ward Fields. She graduated Evans Mills High School in 1954. On October 21, 1956 she married Ora P. Ball Jr. at Bethany United Methodist Church, Watertown.
She worked for the Watertown City School District as a nurses aide at Wiley School until her retirement in 1998. She was the organist and choir director at Bethany United Methodist Church, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in choir, working at church events, traveling, camping, singing, and spending the winter in Arcadia, Fl.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters: Ruth (Frank) Reed, Bangor, PA, Sherry (James) Hrabchak, Newark, NY; a son: Ora J. Ball and partner Steven Chambers, Jacksonville, Fl; 2 grandchildren: John (Jessica) Groller, Bangor, PA, Sarah Wilson; a great-grandchild: Olivia Elizabeth Groller; and a brother, George (Ethel) Fields, Burnt Hills, NY.She is predeceased by a brother, Fred Fields, and a son, Leo W.
